The 6th AET Symposium on ACSM and Digital Manufacturing

Sep 21, 2025
The 6th AET Symposium on ACSM and Digital Manufacturing (AETS2025) and Euspen Special Interest Conference Micro/Nano Manufacturing was successfully held from 17 Sep to 19 Sep 2025 in Paris, France. The conference was organised by the International Academy of Engineering and Technology (AET), the European Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (Euspen). Around 100 participants around the world attended this conference.
After the welcome from the Conference Chair, Prof. Nabil Anwer from the Paris-Saclay University and the Euspen President, Prof Andreas Archenti, the AET Vice-President, Prof. Lihui Wang from KTH Royal Institute of Technology opened the conference with a brief introduction of three paradigms of manufacturing advancement and history of the AET Symposium. The conference saw five keynote talks from Prof Fred Roozeboom from University of Twente (Netherlands) addressing current status and future outlook in atomic-scale processing technologies, Prof Kazuya Yamamura from the University of Osaka (Japan) who will introduce plasma-assisted polishing technology to obtain atomically smooth diamond substrates, Prof Martin Booth from the University of Oxford (UK) presenting adaptive laser writing technique for three-dimensional precision fabrication of functional devices, Prof Seeram Ramakrishna from National University of Singapore (Singapore) highlighting electrospinning of intelligent and sustainable materials and Prof U.D. Zeitner from Opto-Mechanical Systems, Fraunhofer (Germany) focusing on advanced fabrication technologies for scaling optical micro- and nano-structures to application relevant areas.
The conference contains 4 session keynotes, 44 oral talks and 22 posters within 7 sessions with topics from ACSM, Micro and Nanomanufacturing to Digital Manufacturing. Three companies also presented their latest development in industrial presentations, and their exhibition stands. The AET president Prof Kornel Ehmann highlighted the importance of ACSM and digital manufacturing to address the challenges facing humanity in closing remarks to the conference.
The 7th AET Symposium on ACSM and Digital Manufacturing (AETS2027) will be held in September 2025 in Osaka, Japan. The chair of symposium, Prof. Kazuya Yamamura introduced the hosting venue and welcome the delegates in the conference closing ceremony. More information will be available on AET website in due course.
