The 75th General Assembly of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP) took place in Turin from 23 to 29 August 2026, marking the first time in the Academy’s history that its flagship annual conference has been hosted by this historic industrial capital.

The 7th AET Forum on Future Manufacturing Technologies and Systems was successfully held at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK, from 20 to 22 August 2026. Organised by AET, the Forum featured six keynote speeches, six invited talks and six oral presentations.

From 22 to 25 May 2026, the 5th International Forum on Manufacturing Paradigm III (5th FMP3) was held in Hong Kong, bringing together more than 160 experts and scholars from different countries and regions.

From May 22 to 25, 2026, the AET sponsored 5th International Forum on Manufacturing Paradigm III (FMP3-2026) was held in Hong Kong. the event centered on driving Atomic and Close-to-Atomic Scale Manufacturing (ACSM) from theory to practice.

Against the backdrop of the global transformation of manufacturing toward intelligence, green development, and integration, the International Conference on Manufacturing Science for Sustainability (icMSS) has been established.

On 18th Aug 2025, AET Vice-President, Fellow, Prof Lihui Wang delivered a keynote talk “Human-Centric Assembly in Smart Factories” on 2025 CIRP General Assembly hold in Stockholm Sweden. The keynote paper is co-authored by AET Fellow. Prof József Váncza.

AET member, Dr Jinshi Wang from Tianjin University China has recently awarded the prestigious 2025 CIRP F.W. Taylor Medal. F.W. Taylor Medal of the CIRP is an award for young, outstanding researchers who write innovative scientific papers on CIRP topics.

On December 17th 2024, Professor Fengzhou Fang, the Founding President of the International Academy of Engineering and Technology (AET), was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.

AET Fellows delivered Plenary, and keynote talks on the 9th International Conference on Nanomanufacturing (nanoMan2024) in Singapore. AET past president, Fellow, Prof FengZhou Fang introduced the history of nanoMan conference in opening ceremony.

An webinar on the theme of Ultraprecision Polishing will be held on November 19, 2024. Professor Zhang at CIOMP will introduce a novel polishing methodology centered around robotic systems.

The AET Immediate Past President, Prof Fengzhou Fang, is elected as the President of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP) 2023-2024 in recognition of his academic achievements in manufacturing science and technology.

The 5th AET Symposium on ACSM and Digital Manufacturing (AETS2023) was successfully held from 30 Aug to 1 Sep 2023 at the Institute for Computer Science and Control (SZTAKI), Budapest, Hungary. Over 100 participants around the world attended this symposium organised by Prof. József Váncza from SZTAKI and his team.
