AET Vice-President, Fellow, Prof Lihui Wang, has recently been awarded the SME 2024 Gold Medal. This prestigious medal recognizes Prof. Wang’s outstanding service to the manufacturing engineering profession in technical communications through published literature, technical writings and lectures.

Prof. József Váncza, the AET Fellow, was invited to deliver a plenary speech “The key role of digital twin in autonomous manufacturing” at the 20thInternational Manufacturing Conference in China (IMCC 2023) in Chongqing on 24 November 2023. Nearly 800 delegates attended the conference.

The AET Immediate Past President, Prof Fengzhou Fang, is elected as the President of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP) 2023-2024 in recognition of his academic achievements in manufacturing science and technology.

The 5th AET Symposium on ACSM and Digital Manufacturing (AETS2023) was successfully held from 30 Aug to 1 Sep 2023 at the Institute for Computer Science and Control (SZTAKI), Budapest, Hungary. Over 100 participants around the world attended this symposium organised by Prof. József Váncza from SZTAKI and his team.

AET President, Prof Fengzhou Fang, is elected as a member of the Royal Irish Academy in recognition of his academic achievements in nanomanufacturing and education. Membership of the Academy is the highest academic honour in Ireland.

The 4th AET Symposium on ACSM and Digital Manufacturing (AETS2022), jointly organised with the 8th International Conference on Nanomanufacturing was successfully held between 30 Aug and 1 Sep 2022. The event is also sponsored by IEEE Photonics Society UK & Ireland Chapter. 24 fascinating invited talks and 96 oral and poser presentations were delivered on the conference.

The 3rd AET Symposium on ACSM and Digital Manufacturing (AETS2021) was successfully held on 31 Aug and 1 Sep 2021. 12 distinguished speakers were invited to give talks on research and applications of advanced manufacturing technologies. Over 200 participants from 10 different countries attended this online event.
